We will offer a refund or replacement for any of your chicks, ducklings, turkeys, goslings, and other poultry breeds that don't survive shipment, based on our discretion and availability, however we do not offer a safe arrival guarantee on peafowl. Please take a camera with you to the post office to pick up your chicks and take pictures of any chicks that do not survive shipment so that it can be validated by a postal worker. Poultry, ducklings, hatching eggs, or any other breed of bird offered by californiahatchery.com that does not survive shipment will either be replaced or refunded at our discretion and availability. Please note, Priority Mail Express postage will not be refunded unless the delivery or attempted delivery is more than 3 days after the day of mailing. This policy comes directly from the United States Postal Service. Any breed of chicken, duck, or any other breed of bird that does not survive shipment and/or any issues and/or breed injuries must be reported within 24 hours of delivery by using the CONTACT US form in order to qualify for replacement or reimbursement, and a picture of all losses including any damaged items must be provided by the customer.  

By placing an order at californiahatchery.com, the customer accepts the risk that their ordered chicks, ducklings, turkeys, goslings, or other poultry breeds ordered may not survive shipment. Additionally, by placing and order, the customer accepts all shipping conditions for which their order is shipped, handled, and delivered.
